	National Rail - Up to the minute train information. Allegedly up-to-the-minute information based on real-time feeds from the railway companies. Links to other railway sites and provides good list of telephone numbers. Some help but not what was promised on the radio by a rail spokesman. Railtrack Travel Information - Train information. Times of trains around the country. Slightly awkward form, but the results are quick. Beware of enquiries for local stations, this was used recently and gave the wrong information. TheTrainLine - Train info. Registration necessary and difficult, and travel form is lengthy. Gives good results and discounts for online bookings.

	National Express - Coach information. Timetables, fares and information. Finding times and fares is very easy, and you can choose to have tickets posted or ready for collection.

	All-In-One British Timetables - Travel information. Links page to nearly all the travel info you need. Trains and ferries are listed, but not coaches. Also links to travel companies. UK Travel Guide - Travel info. Offers details of timetables to get around the country, along with a wealth of other info from bicycles to cybercafes. London Transport - Info on transport in London. Find details on tubes, buses, river boats.

Museums


	National Maritime Museum - Simple and effective. Gives you the facts, but also allows you to see a vast number of the exhibits. Very well put together pages ensure that you will enjoy the visit to the site almost as much as the museum itself. London Transport Museum - History of public transport in the capital. The site does not give much detail away, but what it does show looks very promising. Bright and colourful, the pages have few pictures yet still kept us reading. National Railway Museum - Story of the railway in this York museum. Some pictures but lots of text describing the exhibits. Very good info on what is on in the coming months. Nicely designed, good interface.
